About Rev. Craig E. Robertson

Rev. Craig E. Robertson has served as the minister of Capitol Hill Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Des Moines, Iowa, since 2020.


A Des Moines native, Craig graduated from North High School in 1981 before attending Simpson College, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1985 and lettered in football all four years.



He received his Master of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary in 1988 and was ordained into the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on July 11, 1988.

A Life of Ministry AND Service

Throughout his ministry, Rev. Robertson has faithfully served congregations in Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas.


In addition to his pastoral work, he has devoted many years to serving others as a volunteer chaplain at Ramsey Village and Taylor Hospice, offering comfort and compassionate care to individuals and families during life's most difficult moments.

Family & Personal Life

Craig and his wife, Laura, have been married since 1984 and are blessed with two sons, Andrew and Nicholas, two grandchildren, Josie and Barrett, and are excited to welcome another grandchild soon.
